#23 Is Your Passport in Date?
Have you ever thought about giving it all up?
Imagine how you would feel if you took the brave step to really change your life. Are you ready to give it all up and do this? Or is the real world out there just too scary?
Be an explorer that’s it. Make your decision, pack your bags, grab your passport (as I asked you earlier) and head off into the sunset. It’s really that easy. Or is it?
Not a fan of New Year resolutions, I thought instead that for my last newsletter for this year it would be fun to talk about how you can become a portfolio explorer in 2012. This amazing description immediately grabbed my attention when I was reading a passage from “You Unlimited” by Colin McCrudden, Adrian Bourne and Chris Lyons
Being a very keen explorer myself, having travelled extensively across the globe, exploring has and continues to have a direct impact on both my personal and professional life. Life is an adventure and discovery is what it’s all about. It’s what I do and via the process of discovery, many of my clients have had an opportunity to add a few stamps to their passport as well.
What do you need to make 2012 your year of exploration?
Passport. A book of your values, skills and passions, in other words your CV of life.
Rucksack. Travel smarter, not harder. Carry only what you really need and adapt to suit.
Walking Boots. Stay grounded with a clear focus about what you wish to achieve. Take bold steps even on rocky terrain.
Ticket. In the words of the Beatles, “I’ve got a ticket to ride”. It’s your choice to explore, to discover, and to embrace all that your destinations show you. It’s up to you – one way or return?
Happy Travels!
